Hi, I’m Arielle! Welcome to my little bookish corner of the internet, where we talk about romance books, fantasy worlds, thrillers that make me suspicious of everyone, and the occasional fictional man who has absolutely no business raising my standards this much.
I have loved reading for as long as I can remember, but let’s be honest: my relationship with books has fully evolved from “I enjoy reading” to “I am emotionally dependent on fictional people and I will be making that everyone’s problem.”
Books have always been my escape. They have gotten me through stressful seasons, boring days, reading slumps, motherhood, schoolwork, deadlines, and those random moments where you just need to disappear. Preferably, into a world where the biggest issue is a morally gray love interest with a tragic backstory.
Honestly? I love that for us.
Why I Started This Blog About Books
I started this blog because I needed a place to talk about books in a way that felt real other than social media.
Not overly polished. Not fake-deep. Not “this novel was a compelling exploration of the human condition” every five seconds.
It can be beautiful and life-changing.
Make you stare at the wall for ten minutes because the ending personally attacked you.
Sometimes so boring you start negotiating with yourself like, “Okay, just one more chapter,” while your soul is actively trying to leave your body.
And sometimes a book is pure chaos, but you are seated, hydrated, emotionally unstable, and ready for the ride.
That is the kind of reader space I wanted to create.
A place where we can talk about what we loved, what made us cry, what made us swoon, what made us angry, and what made us say, “Wait… why did I kind of like that?”
My Favorite Book Genres
My reading taste is basically a mood board of romance, danger, magic, tension, and emotional damage.
I love romance because I am a softie at heart, even if I pretend to be normal about fictional couples. I love the slow burn, the banter, the pining, the forced proximity, the enemies who are absolutely not enemies, and the moment when one character finally realizes, “Oh no, I would burn the world down for this person.”
Romantasy and fantasy have my whole heart because sometimes I do not want regular life. I want kingdoms, curses, fae courts, dragons, magical bargains, impossible choices, and a love interest who probably needs therapy but instead chooses dramatic declarations and sword fighting.
Thrillers are my reset button. After too many romance books, I need a good “everyone is lying and someone is definitely dead” moment. There is just something deeply satisfying about reading a book where I trust absolutely no one and still somehow get surprised.
Basically, my favorite genres are romance, romantasy, fantasy, and thrillers, which means my bookshelf is emotionally confused but highly entertaining.
My Current Reader Era
Right now, I am in my “give me comfort, but also make it interesting” era.
I want books that feel cozy but not boring. Romantic but not cheesy. Emotional but not exhausting. Fun but not forgettable. I want stories that pull me in quickly (yes, I am throwing shade at the slow burn romances) because my attention span is not here to play games.
I am also very much in my summer reading era, which means I want books that feel like iced coffee, beach bags, late nights, and telling myself I’ll only read one chapter before suddenly realizing it is 1:12 a.m. and I have made poor choices.
Again.
What You Can Expect Here
On this blog, you can expect honest book reviews, cozy recommendations, reading lists, romance book roundups, fantasy and romantasy favorites, thriller picks, and lots of reader thoughts that probably started as one tiny opinion and turned into a full personality spiral.
I will share the books I love, the ones I did not connect with, the ones I think deserve more hype, and the ones that made me question my emotional stability in the best way.
You can expect posts like:
- Best romance books to read this summer
- Romantasy books for ACOTAR lovers
- Thrillers that will keep you up way too late
- Books to read when you are in a slump
- Book reviews with actual honest thoughts
- Reader life posts for the chaotic book girlies
I want you to feel like you are talking to your bookish best friend. The one who will recommend a five-star read, send you into an emotional crisis, and then casually ask, “So… what did we think of the morally gray one?”
Why You Should Come Back
Come back if you love books that make you feel something.
Come back if you want honest reviews from someone who is not trying to sound like a literary robot.
Come back if your TBR is already out of control, but you keep adding more books anyway because apparently we love consequences.
Come back if you love romance, fantasy, romantasy, thrillers, bookish chaos, reader humor, and finding stories that make regular life feel a little more magical.
This blog is for the readers who want escape, emotion, banter, plot twists, strong heroines, complicated love interests, cozy reading vibes, and the occasional rant about a book that wasted our time.
I am so happy you are here.
Now grab your coffee, your Kindle, your latest paperback, or whatever book you swore you were “just browsing,” and let’s talk books.
